Keyframes Games Stories
Fachada del Colegio de Arquitectos de Aragón - 2026
Groupe LAPS
“Keyframes Games Stories” transforms the façade of the College of Architects into a stage of light and sound inspired by 1980s video games. Luminous characters move across the building, guided by principles drawn from chronophotography and kinetic art.
The installation pays tribute to those early games, where light, sound, and digital memory merge into a playful and unexpected experience.
The work
“Keyframes Games Stories” is a nocturnal journey into the universe of 1980s video games, transforming façades into vast screens of light and sound. Composed of 110 keyframes, the installation recreates iconic characters inspired by games such as Brick Breaker, Snake, and Stretcher Bearer, which appear to come to life across the city’s architecture. Each luminous figure is carefully positioned, drawing on principles of chronophotography and kinetic art to tell stories through programmed sequences of light, accompanied by sound that provides rhythm and narrative flow.
The piece invites audiences to rediscover the city as a playground, where digital nostalgia meets the contemporary urban landscape. Playful and ephemeral, the glowing characters spark interaction, surprise, and a sense of shared memory. “Keyframes Games Stories” transforms the façade of the College of Architects of Aragón into an artistic stage where light, movement, and sound intertwine, celebrating pop culture in public space.
